Happy Festive Season Everyone! Mid-November is considered the festive season right? If not, it is now because we have certainly earned an early start to the holiday season! If you're like me, you've probably already started the Christmas shopping panic - and with lots of people turning to online shopping this year, it means we need to be starting earlier rather than later so everything can arrive in time. I've thrown together a list of 24 gift ideas that you should be checking out this year if you're a little stuck for ideas or just need a little inspiration to kickstart your shopping spree! This post contains affiliate links, marked with (*). See Disclaimer to learn more. 1. Lush Gift Packs You can't go past a pamper or self-care pack! And because Lush has SO many products, it can be a little overwhelming trying to choose what to buy, so cut out the struggle and choose one of their gift packs - the bonus is they also come beautifully packaged, so you don't even have to wrap it! If you do feel up to the task though, why not make your own little bundle of goodies for your giftee, especially if you know some of their favourite scents and products. Available from Lush, ranging AU$16.50 - $365.00. 2. House Plants Nothing like a bit of greenery to brighten someone's day and home! There are SO many beautiful and low-maintenance house plants out there that it's easy to get lost in what to pick. Just keep it simple, don't choose something too big, and dress it up with a stylish pot! If your giftee is a pet owner, make sure you double check if the plant you choose is pet friendly! 3. Revolution x Friends It's makeup meets your fave 90s sitcom! Nearly all their scents are available across all their products, and with their Classic White collection also, there's something for everyone. Available from Redbubble, ranging AU$1.53 - $103.08.** 9. Oodie Give the gift of total comfort this Christmas! The Oodie has absolutely blown up on social media during this pandemic as everyone and their dog was getting an Oodie, so it's definitely well worth double-checking that your giftee doesn't already have one! These super comfy oversized blanket hoodies come in a range of different designs, but do note that many are shipping super close to or after Christmas. Although I doubt your giftee would mind a delayed gift if it's this soft and comfy! Available from The Oodie for AU$109.00. 10. Typo Bundles* Typo have so many amazing products in general, and this year they've helped take the struggle out of product choosing by putting together FORTY great bundles. Vegemite Goodies As a Vegemite kid, I couldn't not include these products on this list as they're PERFECT for any and all Aussies out in the world! Whether you just want a fun personalised jar of Vegemite for that special someone, or are looking for a bit of a stocking stuffer or Kris Kringle gift, the team at Vegemite definitely have you covered. Give them the gift of a bag of fucks so they can be armed with the 'fuck off' energy that Christian puts into them. Know someone who is a fan of Christian? With a signed card from Christian himself, this would certainly make their Christmas a great one! Available from Christian Hull for AU$60.00 13. The Farm-ily Cookbook I couldn't make this gift guide without including at least one local-to-me gift! In general, you can never have too many cookbooks, but you can really never have too many from-the-heart cookbooks, like The Farm-ily Cookbook, featuring over 120 family recipes AND photos from the farm. And while most cookbooks are filled with photos of the food itself, this cookbook is a little different - it's filled with photos of farming and rural life in the Southern Riverina. And if you're not in need of a cookbook but love the photography, why not consider the 2021 Farm-ily Calendar! Available from Our Farm-ily for $35.00. 14. Hamilton Books* With Hamilton having dropped on Disney+ earlier in the year, there's a new wave of fans out there that would LOVE some of the Hamilton books available. The main book is, of course, 'Hamilton: The Revolution' by Lin-Manuel Miranda, which is a beautiful book that deep dives into the show's production, and would be a treasured gift for any fan. Other books also include the musical's inspiration, Ron Chernow's 'Alexander Hamilton', and historic fiction 'Alex & Eliza' by Melissa de La Cruz, and 'My Dear Hamilton' by Stephanie Dray & Laura Kamoie, just to name a few. Available from any good bookstore. (Links to Book Depository*) 15. Card Games We ALL know about Cards Against Humanity, but there are a TONNE of similar games that make for perfect gifts! Why not try the likes of What Do You Meme, Disturbed Friends or Incoherent for your friends and family members who aren't afraid to get a little outrageous at game night. Most of these games definitely aren't for the faint of heart, and there are definitely many NSFW versions that probably aren't going to be grandma's cup of tea... The big plus of gifting games like these is the chance of also being able to play them with your giftee, so it's kinda like a present for you too! 16. Kindle Paperwhite Physical books are certainly where it's at, but there is SO much convenience in being able to basically carry your entire library with you wherever you go! And while we can read ebooks on our phones and tablets, they aren't made for reading books like a Kindle is. Waterproof, glare-free, long battery life and a screen that reads like real paper, this is the perfect gift for all the readers in your life. Go the extra mile by throwing in a cute case and an Amazon giftcard so your giftee can start loading it with all the books they want to read! Available from Amazon, ranging AU$199.00 (8gb) - $249.00 (16gb). 17. Chocolab Chocolate Chocolate and Christmas go hand-in-hand, but instead of just grabbing any old block of chocolate, festive it up and tailor it to suit your giftee! Choose from any of the limited edition Christmas chocolates, or go one step further and actually create a personalised chocolate block filled with all their favourite inclusions! And I won't judge if you also get a little something for yourself too! Chocolab also have NSFW personalisations too if you want to get a little outrageous. Available from Chocolab, ranging AU$4.00 - $200.00. 18. DIY Craft & Food Gifts There's nothing like a gift from the heart, and nothing says a gift from the heart like a bit of DIY! Just a simple Google or Pinterest search will give you SO much inspiration. And you don't even need to be that crafty in order to create something fun, beautiful and even delicious. DIY gifts make for the perfect stocking stuffers or kris kringles, and are great for giving the kids something to be involved with during December! PICTURED DIYS: Mason Jar Cocktails, Reindeer Treat Bags, Hot Cocoa Mix Ornaments, and Scrabble Coasters. 19. Unearthed Crystals I feel like we all have at least one spiritual friend or family member. Give them a gorgeous crystal or two to help with manifesting a fresh start in the new year. Stick with the basics (quartz and amethyst) or do a little research into what would be perfect for your giftee. Unearthed Crystals also stock jewellery pieces and books, so if the sheer range of crystals is a little overwhelming, you've got options to still gift something spiritual. Available from Unearthed Crystals, from as low as AU$1.00 20. Portable Speakers* Sure, our phones play music pretty well, but there really isn't anything like playing your music through a speaker. Typo has a great range of portable speakers, from a waterproof shower speaker, to a wireless speaker, and even a beer holder shower speaker! So why not help your giftee turn their shower into their own concert arena. And as some of us start getting back into social settings, a speaker like this will certainly come in handy! Available from Typo, ranging AU$29.99 to $39.99+. 21. Novelty Box of Socks* You're never too old for fun novelty socks, because who says your socks need to be plain and boring! These boxes of socks come with five pairs featuring fun designs, with each box themed around a particular interest like gaming, television, and adulting. Need something fun for and different kris kringle? These are definitely something to check out! Available from Typo for AU$29.99. 22. Drink InfusionsYou don't need to go out to get the flavoured drinks you love. Shopping for a coffee fan? Think about flavoured coffee syrups! How about a cocktail connoisseur? Why not a mixer infusion for their alcohol of choice, like vodka, gin, margarita or sangria! These just also scream holiday season consumption, so help your giftee celebrate Christmas and start the new year in style with one of these drink infusions. Available from Big W, ranging AU$12.00 - $25.00. 23. Saturday Lollipop Jewellery Food AND cute jewellery? Sounds like a perfect match! These pieces are super adorable and realistic, and they're just made from polymer clay! Help your giftee show their love for their favourite food, which includes some ICONIC Aussie snacks. Ever wanted to gift someone a pair of fairybread earrings? Now you can! These are also perfect for anyone of any age. Available from Saturday Lollipop, ranging AU$20.00 - $54.00. 24. A Good Ol' 2021 Calendar You really can't go pass a good calendar for the new year! I feel like calendars as a Christmas gift can easily be overlooked, so definitely keep them in the front of your mind while you're Christmas shopping. There are THOUSANDS, if not MILLIONS, of calendars available, so whether you want to keep it simple with fun prints and nature photography or tailor it to tie in with your giftee's interests, you are sure to find the perfect calendar. And with so many events postponed to the new year, your giftee is going to need a calendar to keep track of everything happening in their social life! It's a simple gift, but it's a greatly appreciated one. Hopefully this list has given you a little help with your Christmas shopping this year, whether that be with what to buy friends and family, or maybe a little something to treat yourself (no judgement here, you deserve to treat yourself!). At the end of the day, Christmas isn't about the material gifts you give but the time spent with the ones you love, so don't stress about not knowing what on earth you are going to give people. Keep things simple and give something from the heart. Happy Shopping! Victoria :) You May Also Be Interested In: |
