Hey There Everyone! Another season has come and gone and now Winter is well and truly here. Before we really deep dive into the season of layer, layers and more layers, it's time to share my favourites from the past three months. There's not as many here as there was for Summer, but there's still some great things that I've been absolutely loving recently, and things you totally need to check out if you haven't already. First beauty item is one that my skin has been LOVING, and that's the Revolution Skincare Blemish & Pore Refining Serum - 10% Niacinamide + 1% Zinc. Ya'll will know that I've been loving Revolution's makeup products, so I was very keen to try one of their skincare serums, especially since I've never used a serum before. My skin has been loving this product and my breakouts have slowed to nearly nothing. I try to use this twice a day - morning and night - but definitely at night before bed. It's been such a fantastic part of my skincare routine, and one that I've seen results for super quickly. 100% recommend if you're looking for something to banish those breakouts! Get it here.* The other beauty product is the MCoBeauty More Brows Fibre Gel. MCo is part of Model Co, an Aussie brand that has some really great affordable makeup. They recently launched their MCo range, and when I saw this brow gel, I just had to give it a try. I've used a similar brow gel before, so I knew it was a product I'd like, but this is actually so good. The small spoolie brush is perfect to shape and fill brows without getting product everywhere. I use Medium/Dark and my brows look really nice and natural every time I use the gel. It's perfect when you want to quickly do your brows but still have them looking great. Get it here.* Both fashion favourites are actually from the same brand and they have been fanastic autumn pieces that I'm going to be wearing all the time in winter. First is the Rivers Fur Trim Parka. I've been eying this jacket, or one similar, for a couple of years now, and recently took advantage of a Rivers sale with some winter purchases. I've not had a nice jacket like this for years, so I finally jumped at the chance to buy one. It's so nice and comfy to wear, and the faux fur trim makes it feel super lush. And although it might not look or feel it, it's actually super warm, so it'll come in handy over the next three months. I actually wore this while in Geelong at the beginning of May and it came in hand for the cold rainy days. The other Rivers piece is the Classic Riversoft Chelsea Boot. Pretty much all my shoes are from Rivers because they have such a nice range and I can actually find shoes that fit my feet (the joys of being size 10-11 and never finding nice shoes that fit). I already own a pair of boots, but was looking for something with a lower cut and that were a little more casual. These boots are perfect and super comfy - great for just throwing on with a pair of jeans and dashing out the door. Their comfort plus their look plus their price point make these boots so freaking awesome. If you're looking for a nice pair of boots, you totally need to check out Rivers! Getting appy now, this is an app you've probably seen a lot of people talking about, especially if you follow influencers and bloggers on Instagram, and that's Filmm. This is a video filter and effects app that was co-founded by Zoe Sugg and A Beautiful Mess's Elsie Larson and Emma Chapman, who are actually behind the photo filter app 'A Color Story'. The app has been super fun to play around with and I've started to add more videos to my Insta Stories and kinda up my Insta Story game. This is definitely an app that bloggers, Youtubers and influencers should check out if you're looking to add a little something something to your Insta game. This year I have explored more of my spirituality and am finally comfortable with being more open about it. One of my recent purchases have been the Moonology Oracle Cards from Yasmin Boland. These cards are so freaking gorgeous - the artwork is stunning and so beautifully done. These cards have been so nice to add to my daily tarot pull, and the cards have reflected things that have been going on in my life or been good reminders for things I should/shouldn't be doing. I know oracle and tarot cards are not for everybody, but I've really connected with this deck and would recommend that anyone interested in oracle cards check them out, especially if you're a moonchild. The Chainsmokers have released two new songs since my last post, and you all know how much I love their music. While I really like both of their new songs, the one I've loved the most has been Kills You Slowly. The music is great, the lyrics are great, and the music video is awesome. ALSO, their live version with Vevo is fantastic (all of their new live version releases have been epic). I'm so excited for their next release, because I know it'll be another hit and favourite! Final favourite has been Team StarKid! To be fair, they have always been a favourite, but this year they are celebrating their 10niversary, so I've been rewatching their shows and blasting their music. For those who don't know, Team StarKid is a musical theatre group, founded ten years ago at Michigan University. Over the past ten years, they've written, performed and uploaded their musicals to YouTube. If you've not heard of the group specifically, you may have heard of their first and most iconic musical - A Very Potter Musical, and it's two sequels. I've been a fan of StarKid for around nine years and I've loved everything they've produced, and I'm super excited for StarKid Homecoming - nearly everyone who's ever appeared in one of their eleven shows coming back for a celebration events - and Black Friday, their new musical at Halloween this year. If you've not seen any of their work, you NEED to check them out! Check out my rambling appreciation video here, and my 10niversary Tag here. While there haven't been many favourites, the things that have made my list are so awesome and amazing and 100% things you need to check out/try/listen/watch if you've not already. Let me know if you've used/listened/watched anything I've talked about, and if you do happen to check anything out, let me know your thoughts!
