Hey There Everyone! I resubscribed to Bellabox in September, and I'm so glad that I did! I'd forgotten how great it is to get a box filled with different products and brands to try, and Bellabox certainly delivered the goods in September. I've finally had a chance to try all five products in the box, and spoiler alert, they are all really great products. And without further ado, here's my thoughts on everything in the 'Spring Shake Up' box from September. What Is Bellabox? In case you didn't know, Bellabox is a monthly subscription box based here in Australia and New Zealand, sending you five to six full-size, travel-size or samples of makeup and beauty products. This gives you the opportunity to try brands and products that you may not have seen or have access to. It's a great box for anyone who is looking to try new things, but not wanting to splash out on new products that you aren't sure will work for you. Tartiest Quick Dry Matte Lip Paint Meet your next pout obsession: tarte's tartiest quick dry matte lip paint. This gem is pigmented and has a transfer-proof formula for kisses without the tell-tale sign. with a quick-dry matte finish, you'll be rocking this lippie all day, everyday! Tarte has been a brand that I've wanted to try for a while now, I've just never known where to start, especially because it is a bit on the pricier side. So of course I was very excited to see this matte lip in the box - I'm a massive fan of matte liquid lips, and rarely stray from using ColourPop. This is such a good matte lip - the formula is nice and smooth and isn't drying. Since I don't have any brown nude lipstick, this was a big plus and I've been reaching for this lip since the box arrived. Will I Be Buying More? I'm definitely keen to get a couple more of these liquid lipsticks, not that I need more matte liquid lipsticks, but that's hardly going to stop me. I also really want to try an eyeshadow palette from Tarte, so I'm definitely going to try and get a few Tarte products. 6ml RRP $29 - available at Sephora or tartecosmetics.com Burt's Bees Moisturising Lip Balm Lips will love the nourishing and luxurious feeling that the Burt's Bees Moisturising Lip Balm leaves behind. Like all Burt's products, this lip-loving product is a parabean free, 100% natural and all around amazing! Conveniently tuck this tube into a pocket or purse, so that you can keep natural, nuturing lip care handy. You can't really go wrong with a good lip balm, and I've always got at least one on hand, so getting a new brand to try in the box was great to see. I've not used a Burt's Bees lip balm before, but I've heard great things about the brand in general, so I knew it was probably going to be something I would like using. And I wasn't wrong. The balm applies really well and doesn't dry too quickly, keeping my lips mositurised. Of all the lip balms I've used, this is definitely one of my favourites. I can already see and feel that my lips are not as dry as they have been. Will I Be Buying More? I've already got some lip balms on my Priceline wishlist, so I'm ready for when I start getting low. It's such a good product, so I'm definitely keeping it on my radar. RRP $6.95 - available at Priceline, Chemist Warehouse and Coles Vitamasque Masks Brighten and hydrate your skin with these masks developed with innovative Korean-skincare technology. An amazing asset to your skincare routine, these masks are great for a weekly pick-me-up to add that extra boost of moisture and radiance. You had me at Korean-skincare. Everyone knows that K-Beauty has a cult following, and it's definitely an area of beauty products that I've been meaning to follow for the longest time. I didn't really know what to expect with this mask, but it was actually really nice. The mask applied very nicely and had a lovely mango scent. After applying the mask and having it absorbed, my skin felt really nice and already getting the moisture it needed. The following morning, I could definitely tell that it was a little more moisturised and healthy than it has been. It's suggested that you use this mask a couple of times a week, and I know that I'd be able to seem more improvement with continued use, instead of a one-off application. Will I Be Buying More? I'm definitely interested in giving this brand a try by not only repurchasing this mask, but also seeing what else the brand has to offer. I feel like I'd be able to find a mask that my skin will love. RRP $4 - available at Priceline Biore Deep Cleansing Charcoal Pore Strips Working like a magnet, these pore strips will instantly lock onto and draw out dirt and oil for the deepest clean. Get spring-ready skin! Now, this is a product that I've been using for years. Biore is a brand that has some great skincare products, and their charcoal range is one I really recommend. I try to use this pore strips at least once every week or two, and I've found that the charcoal ones seem to work better than the regular, although that could be a total placebo affect. Will I Be Buying More? As I said, this is a product that I've been using for years with no plans on stopping anytime soon! RRP $7.29 - available at Priceline and Chemist Warehouse Palmer's Cocoa Butter Skin Perfecting Moisturising Day Cream SPF15 With SPF to protect from the sun's harmful rays, this nourishing formula is suitable for all skin types, and won't clog pores. The creamy Cocoa Butter blend will leave the skin healthy, glowing and supply everyday. I've been using Palmer's hair care products for about a year now, thanks to a previous Bellabox actually, so I knew this would probably be a really great product. It's actually such a nice moisturiser that doesn't leave the skin feeling oily or greasy. I've used this under my makeup, which is great on two accounts - firstly that it keeps my skin mositurised underneath all my matte makeup, and secondly that it gives me SPF protection without applying sunscreen, which doesn't always sit well with makeup. Coming into Summer, this is going to be a great product to use, whether it be on its own or under makeup. Will I Be Buying Again? With Summer quickly approaching and the weather hitting the low 30s already, I'm certainly going to stock up on this product. 75ml RRP $14.99 - available at Priceline and Chemist Warehouse I've really enjoyed all the products in the September box, and they are all things I'm definitely going to keep on my radar. It's great to be able to try and discover new brands, or even just products in brands that I'm already using.
I definitely recommend checking out Bellabox if you're looking to try some new beauty products, particularly if you're in Australia and New Zealand. I'm very excited for the October box, which marks Bellabox's 7th birthday - the two hero products are ones I'm super excited to try, and I'm looking forward to what else the box has to offer. See You Soon! Victoria :) |
