Happy Silly Season Everyone!
A little bonus blog post today. On Monday, I put up our Christmas decorations and thought I'd share some photos here of some of the decorations. I actually posted a little vlog today as well, so make sure you go check that out if you want to see more of how I've decorated. Without further ado, let's jump into the decorations!
So the main decorations in our house are confined to the lounge room, with a few bits and pieces dotted around the rest of the house. The central focus is, of course, the tree, which looks amazing when it's all lit up with presents stacked underneath it. Now, our tree is a fake one, mainly because it's not really a big thing here in Australia to buy real trees for Christmas. That and I have no idea where we'd buy one - we hardly live in pine tree country. As much as I would like a real tree at least once in my life, I do really like our fake tree.
Then, dotted around the room, are little decorations that have been collected over the years. It's all very mis-matched with absolutely no theme, but all together it looks great and very Christmas-y.
With the lights off, the tree all lit up looks fantastic and so magical. Adding to that is the lights we have up on the outside of the house, making everything look so freaking festive. Seeing the finished tree with the lights on is one of the things I love about this time of year - it's hard not to feel festive with all the whole place lit up with festive magic.
I was already feeling super festive coming into December, and now I'm like Buddy the Elf - keen as a bean for Christmas and ready to spread some holiday cheer!
Happy Holidays Everyone!
