Hey Everyone! Thought I'd get back to doing favourites blog posts, since it feels like forever since I've done one. There were definitely some items that I loved during December, a few of which that I may have become a little too obsessed with. If you follow me on social media, you may know what some of these obsessions are, and I'm sorry if I got a little repetitive there for a while (but, I'm not sorry because I'm still very much obsessed). So, without further ado, here's what I've been loving recently! ColourPop Ultra Matte Lip - Saigon A few years ago, the only shade of lipstick that I wore was red or hot pink. Since I discovered my love for ColourPop lipsticks, I've experimented with different shades and have strayed from my love of a red lip - until now. I had seriously forgotten how awesome a red lip is and how great it is to rock one. And of course, with my love of ColourPop, 'Saigon' is such a gorgeous shade with the fantastic Ultra Matte Lip formula that I've come to love. DB Cosmetics Holographic Illuminator - Unicorn Dust When a product has the words 'holographic' and 'unicorn' in the name, of course I'm going to want it! And damn, does this make me feel like I've just put magic on my face. When I got this, I just thought it would be something I'd use occasionally, but I'm very tempted to just sit around watching TV with this highlighter on. It's just so pretty and magical!! DB Cosmetics Banana Brightening Powder Yes, the name sounds totally weird, but this product is amazing! I had been eyeing this product off for ages, curious as to whether it would actually work like it says it does, so when I got it for Christmas, I was very excited. Turns out, it totally works, even with the weird name! The powder is to cover up those nasty dark circles you get when, like me, you don't get the 'recommended' eight hours of sleep. Who knew that a simple yellow-ish powder would make it look like I didn't just wake up from three hours of sleep! This has quickly made it onto my favourites list and a must in my makeup routine. Schwarzkopf Live Salon Permanent - Auburn Brown For those who don't know, my natural hair colour is a mousy blonde brown. In September 2016, one of my besties convinced me to dye my hair for the first time. We settled on a nice shade of brown - hazelnut - which was essentially a brighter version of my natural colouring. Fast-forward to December when I was about to touch up my roots for Christmas, when I decided to go for a bit of a change, a darker change. I admit, Auburn Brown was a little darker than I had anticipated, but I absolutely love it! I always wanted lighter hair when I was younger, but now I'm definitely a fan of the darkness. All My Friends, We're Glorious: Death Of A Bachelor Tour Live Album Panic! At The Disco has been a rediscovery and favourite for the entire year, so when this live album dropped in December, as well as the live music videos, I was all over it. I've pretty much had the album on repeat since it's release and haven't listened to anything but the album, except for Christmas Carols. I've never really been a fan of live albums, but I'm obsessed with this one, and many of the tracks I prefer more to the studio versions. If you've been living under a rock this past month and missed this albums release, you need to get on it ASAP because it's freaking awesome and I don't think I'm going to stop listening to it anytime soon! The Vampire Diaries There were a time where I swore off ever reading or watching anything to do with vampires (blame the hype surrounding Twilight) and Vampire Diaries was one of those things. However, when I got Netflix last year, I added it to my watch list because I was slightly intrigued, especially because two of my friends are uber obsessed. Come December, I had the sudden urge to watch the show, so I took the dive and I'm currently part-way through season 4. The show is actually so much better than I thought it was going to be and I'm really enjoying it. While I know some of the plot points from across the entire series, and kinda how it ends, I'm loving the journey. And one of said friends is super excited that I'm watching the show, wanting to live vicariously through my first-watch experience. The CrownMy other Netflix binge this month has been The Crown. I'm a sucker for period dramas, especially to do with Monarchies, so finally getting to watch this has been a long time coming. I'm actually watching this with my mum because she's a sucker for these types of shows too, so I've had to slow my binge-watch pace just a little, but we've just finished season 2 and I don't know how I'm meant to wait for the next season! The casting is amazing, the setting and costumes are amazing, and everything is amazing! Claire Foy and Matt Smith are fantastic as Elizabeth and Philip, as well as Vanessa Kirby as Margaret, and I'm already slightly concerned about the fact that we won't see them in these roles again! I'm sure the show will still continue to be amazing when it returns with a new cast for season three, but I will miss all these fantastic actors. Catchup & Ballz I went on a Ketchapp binge at the end of November, and ended up with two really great boredom-busting apps to fill in five minutes here and there. Both of these are those games that, whenever you die, you just need to play again to try and beat your previous score. I've been alternating between both games, working to try and beat my high scores, which is both frustrating and fun. If you haven't, you need to check out some of these because I'm sure you'll love them too! Let me know some of the things you've been loving recently, especially anything you think I'd love too.
