Hello Everyone! I've been a bit slack on the blog front, haven't I? Not to worry, I'm back today to share my March favourites. This month, there's favourites all across the board, from beauty to music to YouTube. Overall, March has been a great month for me, and these are some of my favourite favourites from the past few months. So, without further ado, here's what I've been loving this past month! ModelCo Instant Brows I've never really been one to fuss with my brows. However, I've noticed that since I've dyed my hair a darker shade of brown that my brows tend to fade out when I'm wearing makeup. Back in September, this brow stick came in my Bellabox so I thought it was a good chance to actually try a good brow product. I admit, I've always been a tad wary of doing my brows, simply because I do want to keep them natural without looking like I've caked them in product. But, I've been using this product for the past few months and have come to really love it. It's been so easy to use and blend into my brows, giving them the bit of colour they need and filling in the few places that are a bit sparse. I'm definitely interested in checking out some other brands with similar products, but for now this is perfect for me. Maybelline Master Bronze Palette I've mentioned this bronzer palette before in my go-to makeup products post at the end of last year, but I've never mentioned it in a favourites. While I've loved this product from the moment I got it, it's really been these past few months that I've really become obsessed with it. Bronzer is a make-up staple for me, and I love that this palette can create so many different looks - use one shade, a combination of two or three, or just swipe your brush over the entire palette. The end result is a nice, glowing, natural, sun-kissed look that you can wear anywhere - having just come out of summer, it was perfect for making it look like I'd spent more time in the sun than I actually had. This past month, however, I've also started using it as an eyeshadow to give a nice simple and natural look. I sometimes find that I go a little over-the-top with my eyeshadow in some situations, but I've found that this palette creates a nice natural look that I love. 'Say Amen (Saturday Night)' Can Panic! At The Disco do no wrong?! Brendon has been teasing new music all year and when news of a new album - Pray For The Wicked - and TWO new singles dropped earlier this month, I was so freaking excited. Say Amen has been on repeat since the moment it came out - waking up to new Panic! music is such a great feeling - and I absolutely love the music video that accompanies the song (and can you believe it's the prequel on This Is Gospel!). While I have listened to (F**k A) Silver Lining a few times, Say Amen is definitely my favourite of the two. I can't wait for the whole album to be released on June 22, and the music videos that accompany more of the songs - Panic! music videos are honestly the best things ever. If you haven't listened to the new songs or seen the epic music video, drop everything and do it now! Hamilton Soundtrack I'm sooooo late to the Hamilton party I know, but I'm finally getting there nonetheless! I've never had the biggest interest in listening to the Hamilton soundtrack, simply because I've never seen the musical and I'm not someone who can just listen to a soundtrack without having seen the production behind it. However, back in 2016, Kassie from the channel MissSassyKassie did a sing-a-long to 'Helpless' and 'Satisfied' and since then I've had Satisfied floating at the back of my mind. In late February, I finally downloaded the song and have pretty much has it on repeat since. The music and lyrics are fantastic and I'm kind of obsessed. This month, I decided to start listening to the entire soundtrack from start to finish. I'm currently about a quarter to a third of the way through (I'm taking it slow) and have been really enjoying it - I can see why everyone is so damn obsessed! Apart from Satisfied, I also really like Helpless (the do go hand-in-hand after all), and Alexander Hamilton. Satisfied is still my number one from the soundtrack, and even though I haven't listened to all the songs yet, I don't think that's going to change, simply because it's the song I've listened to for the longest time. I'm definitely now more interested in the musical and am excited for it to come to Australia next year. Luke Towan & Kathy Millatt So this month I've fallen in love with watching people build realistic scenery models. Luke Towan, also known as Boulder Creek Railroad, is an Australian model builder and his videos are simply amazing - how he goes from nothing to a scenery that is so realistic is mind blowing. From there, one of the recommended videos was for Kathy Millatt, who has a similar channel with more how-to's on creating different elements of a model scene. While these videos are certainly tailored for people who are creating model dioramas, and I don't have any plans to take up model building, I've loved watching how these dioramas are created and how realistic the end product it. The videos are also kind of relaxing in a way, especially Luke's. Definitely check out both channels because they are super interesting.
Back To University For Another YearThis month I returned to my university studies for the year, and I've actually had a bit of a change, which turned out to be such a good decision. While I'm only in week 4, I've been really enjoying everything I've been studying this semester - my units are What is History?, Archaeology: Principles & Practices, and Colonial Australia. And the other units in the for the upcoming semesters are also super interesting and I'm genuinely excited to be studying, which is honestly such a great feeling. Adding to the awesomeness of my study is that I got 92% on my first assignment, which was an online quiz for my archaeology unit, so fingers crossed the rest of the year goes as great as this first month! I'd love to know some of the things that you have been loving this past month - either let me know in the comments, or let me know if you have a similar blog post!
Hopefully I can get back into the swing of having a new blog post up every week (Monday's), but since I'm back to studying, I may aim for every second week - do bear with me as I organise myself a little, but be sure to follow me on my others socials for other posts and updates, if you're interested. See You Soon! Victoria P.S. Happy Easter Everyone! |
