Hello Everyone! I seriously need to get on top of pre-writing and scheduling blog posts - to be fair, the delay for this post has been that I've not had the time to take the photos! As I work on that, today I have my May Favourites. Not many favourites for the month of May, but a nice little mix that I've been obsessed with. If you follow me on social media, you'll probably already know about some of these things, which range from beauty to music to television. Beauty... This month I couldn't resist trying a new Original Source Shower Gel, this time in the scent/flavour (because honestly, you could almost eat this stuff) Raspberry &Vanilla. I'm a big fan of Original Source shower gels and have loved all the ones I've used in the past, but this has got to be my favourite. The scent is AMAZING and I'm always so tempted to see if it tastes and good as it smells - probably not. It smells just like a Strawberries & Cream lolly, which I love, so that's probably why I enjoy using this so much. Of course, as a shower gel it's really great and affordable, which is another great plus. If you've not tried Original Source before, get on it ASAP because their shower gel range is fantastic! Staying in the shower department, next we have John Frieda Brilliant Brunette Colour Protecting Shampoo & Condititoner. I've been using this shampoo and conditioner on and off for several months now but have really started to use it regularly this past eight weeks. As someone who dyes their hair, I've definitely noticed that this has helped keep is bright and fresh, as well as making my hair feel nice and clean. I've used a couple of 'colour protecting' shampoos and conditioners in the nearly two years since I first dyed my hair and I feel like this works better than the ones I've used previously. If you've got coloured hair, I definitely recommend checking out the John Frieda range, which also has a collection for blondes. Speaking of dying hair, I redyed by hair during May, going slightly darker and using a new brand. My goal was to just touch up my roots since they were starting to really shine through and I needed to look fab for my cousin's 21st. Literally the day of the party I was in my local IGA trying to find a dye, stumbling upon Clairol (which is literally the only permanent dye my IGA stocks). I grabbed 'Natural Dark Brown', which I knew was probably going to be a tad too dark but was going to go with it anyway. I've not used a Clairol dye before, having stuck with Schwarzkopf, but I have to say I think I may prefer Clairol. Colour-wise, I'm really happy with how it turned out. I admit, I was thinking "holy crap, what have I done to my hair" when I began drying my hair and it was almost black, but I love the darker look. Dye-wise, I found this to be a lot nicer to use. The product was a bit more watery compared to Schwarzkopf's more creamier consistency and I found it a lot easy to apply and spread throughout my roots and hair given it was a lighter consistency. Super happy with the results - I now just have to wait and see how bad my roots look when they begin to grow out! Music... If you've been following me on social media, you will probably know the new release that I've been loving this month. With the new album, Pray For The Wicked, dropping this month Panic! At The Disco gave a little gift to fans in the shape of High Hopes, which, I think, is my favourite of the three singles released so far, although don't hold me to that. Three tracks have already been released for the album and all three are amazing, with High Hopes being no different. It's such a fantastic song which is an amazing anthem that gets you up on your feet and singing along. Plus, the message behind it is great. I'm super pumped for the album coming out on June 22, so if you follow me anywhere on social media, be prepared for major fangirling and gushing over the album. Spoiler alert - I'm 99.99% sure the album will feature in my June favourites! TV & Film... This month I did a stupid thing - I started binge watching another TV series despite being midway through, at least, seven series. But I have no regrets because it's an awesome series I'm so glad I've finally started - The Suite Life of Zack & Cody! I was a deprived child because I never watched The Suite Life - we didn't have the Disney Channel and I don't remember the show ever appearing on Saturday Disney. Since becoming a fan of Riverdale, I've wanted to go back and watch the show that really launched Dylan and Cole Sprouse into stardom. And I've been loving every minute of it! I may be 22, but I've really enjoyed going back and watching some classic 00s Disney originals. I've almost finished season two, and I'm definitely going to continue watching through to The Suite Life of Deck and finish with The Suite Life Movie. Between my Suite Life binge, I've also been binge watching Who Do You Think You Are? Australia. I really only wanted to watch Ernie Dingo's episode, but I fell down the rabbit hole and have been watching episodes across that last seven seasons. As someone who is researching my own family tree, it's been so great to see the stories that Aussie celebs have found in their ancestries and the resources they've used and found. Even for celebrities that I don't really know or follow it's been super interesting. I don't know what I'm going to do when I watch all the available episodes. I may have to start watching the American version... As it's already a week into June, I've actually got a few favourites already, so get excited for that blog post in a month. Let me know some of the things you've been loving this month, because I'm always looking for more things to try out and fall in love with.
