Hello Everyone! Another season has come and gone, which means it's time to share some of my favourites from the past three months! I admit, there's not a lot on this list, simply because I've not been trying new stuff, or I'm still obsessing over previously mention favourites *cough* Hamilton *cough*. But, it does mean this post will be short and sweet, so let's go! If you've followed me for a while, you will know that I dye my hair. Nothing extreme - just dark brown as opposed to my natural mousey brown. Over the Spring, I decide to spice things up just a little bit, although it's not a totally out-there look. My dye of choice is the Schwarzkopf Live Salon Permanent, with my current colour choice being 'Amethyst'. On my dark brown hair, it's a nice purple wash that is really noticeable in the sunlight, especially around my lighter roots. While not a crazy change, it's been nice to change things a little bit while still keeping the dark hair that I like. I NEVER thought I'd be talking about this show, let alone watching it. But over the Spring, Bachelorette Australia has been on the air, and I've been LOVING it! I've never been into the Bachelor franchise (which is weird because I love Love Island and Are You The One?), but I just had to tune in for this season because former-Goggleboxer Angie Kent was the Bachelorette! Angie was super fun to watch on Gogglebox Australia and I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here Australia, so I just had to tune in to watch her journey to find love. It's been such a fun season and I'm said it's come to an end. I'm also sad that Ciarran had to bow-out of the series early, because he and Angie were totally soulmates. Bummed she didn't pick Timm, but Angie and Carlin seem cute together. Also, I feel like I'm hooked on the franchise now... I still remember when I played the original The Sims for the first time at my cousins house and then begged my mum to buy a copy (which she did). In general, it's a game that I'll play for like three weeks straight and then not touch it for a year. BUT, that routine has kind of come to an end because I'm still playing The Sims 4 after like two months. And that probably has something to do with another favourite below, but also because I've genuinely been having a lot of fun with all aspects of the game, and a lot more than I used to. I'm having so much fun building and renovating, and getting better at it to boot, plus I've started a Legacy challenge, with a 100 Baby Challenge on the horizon. I'm loving it! And you want to know how obsessed I am? I've dreamt of building in The Sims, and I'm constantly looking at houses for build ideas... Every man and their dog seems to have talked about Mario Kart Tour. I didn't even know this game was happening until I saw people talking about it on Twitter like two days before it launched, and even then I wasn't counting down the minutes until I could download it. But, during that first week out, I thought I'd check it out since so many people seemed to be playing, and I've not looked back since! My only Mario Kart experience has been the DS version, which I didn't even play that much anyway, but this app has been so fun! It's a great way to fill in five minutes here and there, and I've been loving all the different courses and bonus challenges. While not a game or app favourite, this one still falls into the tech category, and that's the Typo Shower Speaker. I LOVE singing and listening to music in the shower, so my friend gifted me this for my birthday, and I absolutely love it! It's great to have your favourite songs blasting in the shower without running the risk of damaging your phone. It's also such a great speaker that I've sometimes been using it outside of the shower. Now I can listen to Hamilton, Beetlejuice, Six: The Musical, Heathers, Dear Evan Hansen, The Chainsmokers, Panic! At The Disco and 5SOS whenever and wherever! So my reason for falling hard back into The Sims has been lilsimsie. Kayla creates amazing builds and has some fun let's play series which I've been bingeing, as well as watching her new content when she uploads. On top of that, I've also started watching her uploaded Twitch streams, catching an actual stream every so often when she streams late or I'm awake early (damn you time zones!). She's such a great person to watch, and sometimes I won't even watch the video, just listening to her talking about the game or life in general. Finally we have the biggest thing to be uploaded to YouTube this year - The Beautiful World of Jeffree Star! I've been so excited for this ever since Shane and Jeffree announced the series at the beginning of the year, so it's been a long time coming! Shane and Jeffree work so well together and it's been amazing to get an inside look into the beauty world and everything that goes into making the products we all know and love. I've not had the chance to purchase any of the collection (I was sleeping when everyone broke the internet), but I'm definitely doing to try and get a few things next year during the restock, preferably when the hype dies down and I actually have a chance at getting something without the internet breaking again. I don't know how Shane is going to top this series, because it's been amazing, and I can't wait to see what's next for both Shane and Jeffree. Spring has definitely been about quality and opposed to quantity! I'd much rather have a few really good favourites than looks of mediocre ones, so I'm not mad that there isn't a lot on this list.
Can you believe that my next favourites post will be in 2020? Holy crap that is scary! Actually, that's a lie, because I've got a 'Fave Faves of 2019' post coming at the end of December, but that's not the point. Strap yourself in for some Christmas content though - there's a lot already schedule and even more planned that I hope will come to fruition. See You Soon! Victoria :) |
