Happy Holidays Everyone! It's FINALLY December, which means it's now actually acceptable to put up the decorations, blast the Christmas carols and binge as many Christmas films as possible. To kick-start the festive season, I thought I'd share with you my 2018 Christmas playlist. I have to admit, I've been feeling since the middle of November (I'm sitting here writing this on November 19), aided on by rewatching old Vlogmas videos, particularly Zoella's. With Christmas Carols buzzing around my head, I just had to create a playlist. As always, I'm super excited for Christmas, so this playlist is only making me more excited for the big day. Honestly, this time of year is my favourite, so I'm loving the Christmas atmosphere. Now, I do have to say, a LOT of the songs/artists featured on my 2017 playlist, but that's just because they are some of my favourite songs and versions. However, there are a couple of newbies, both when it comes to songs and artists. You'll soon notice some non-traditional additions to my playlist - songs and artists that you won't necessarily find on a every single Christmas playlist. The first two are from the artist Oliver Boyd and the Remembralls, which is a Wrock (Wizard Rock) band. Oliver Boyd is my all-time favourite Wrock artist, and the two Christmas-y tracks are ones I love to listen to this time of year. Speaking of Harry Potter, the first film featured a Christmas track on the score, so of course it's one I listen to at Christmas time! Next we have an artist that caters to all the Aussie's out there - Bucko & Champs - giving an Australian spin on classic Christmas Carols. I was actually lucky enough to see Colin Buchanan (Bucko) perform Aussie Jingle Bells live in my own town last year. Bucko & Champs are quintessential Australian listening at Christmas. Another Aussie addition to my playlist is catering to my inner-child, and that's Hi-5, and more importantly, the OG Hi-5 crew. The other nostalgic addition is that of The Wiggles, although not OG Wiggles. Every year, Hi-5 and The Wiggles feature in the televised Melbourne and Sydney Christmas Carols, so it's hard to forget these really fun songs. Plus, you're never too old for The Wiggles or Hi-5! Film and television soundtracks make up a nice chunk of the playlist, with Glee, Home Alone, The Polar Express, Anastasia, Love Actually, and of course Harry Potter all represented. I honestly had to put a cap on how many songs I wanted on the playlist, because I honestly could have just kept adding and adding. Plus, I was very close to added multiple versions of the same song, but I felt like that was a bit much - maybe my 2019 playlist can just be multiple versions of one song... BUT enough rambling - here's my 2018 Christmas playlist to get you in the festive spirit!
