Happy Hump Day Ghouligans! And just like that, both Buzzfeed Unsolved: True Crime and Buzzfeed Unsolved: Supernatural have come to an end! This is certainly the end of an era, and while I’m excited to continue following Shane and Ryan over on Watcher, it’s sad knowing we won’t be getting any more episodes in either of these iconic series. At the conclusion of the True Crime series, I shared my 10 must-watch episodes, so it’s only right that I do the same for Supernatural now that it has concluded. With 55 Supernatural episodes across 7 seasons, it was really hard to narrow this list down to ten – so many of my all-time favourite Buzzfeed Unsolved episodes are Supernatural ones, so it was certainly an effort and a half. But I’m really happy with the list I’ve created, so grab your popcorn and spirit box to watch or rewatch ghost-hunting adventures with the ghoul boys. Happy Thursday Lovelies! Can you believe Buzzfeed Unsolved: True Crime and Buzzfeed Unsolved: Supernatural are coming to an end this year? We knew it had to end sometime, especially with Shane and Ryan moving their creative talents to their own company, Watcher, but still. This duo has certainly created a new wave of true crime fans, and it’s sad to see this iconic internet series come to an end. So because I love this show so much (do not ask me how many times I’ve watched the episodes...), I wanted to share my top ten episodes that you should watch or rewatch, whether you’re new to the show or a dedicated fan mourning the end of an era. With 66 True Crime episodes across 8 seasons, all of which cover intriguing cases, it’s hard to narrow it down to just 10, but I think I’ve done it, so grab some popcorn and put your detective hat on. Happy Tuesday! Thank you for being a friend... If you didn’t sing that line, I’m extremely disappointed in you. But it’s clearly a sign that you NEED to strap yourself in for a Golden Girls binge session! I know what you’re thinking – why would you need to watch a show that aired 36 years ago and centred on the lives of four older women living in Miami? And I get it, it doesn’t sound like a must-watch when you put it like that, especially since there are so many more current shows that you could be watching. But trust me when I say you have not lived until you’ve watched the shenanigans of Dorothy, Blanche, Rose and Sophia. So if you’re looking for a little bit of convincing, here are seven reasons why The Golden Girls needs to be added to your binge list. Season's Greetings Everyone! Christmas is very nearly here! It's scary how few days we have left until the big day and just how much we have to cram in before then! But just because there's lots to do, doesn't mean we can't take some time to just chill out and watch something Christmas-y. Earlier in the month, I recommended 24 Christmas Films to watch, but if you're looking for something a little shorter to watch, here's some Christmas episodes to check out this month. And don't worry if you've not seen these series in general - the Christmas episodes offer a great snapshot of the series without being overly spoilerly in terms of the bigger picture! Happy Spooky Season Everyone! For the past two years I've made posts talking about Christmas episodes and specials that you need to add into your holiday viewing rotation and I thought, why not do it for Halloween too! I'm not a big horror film person, and literally the only horror films I'll watch like clockwork every Halloween is the Saw series, so I can hardly recommend many horror films to binge this month. But, there are plenty of TV series that have made Halloween episodes that are perfect viewing for those who like Halloween but aren't into the scary stuff! So, just because you don't want to delve into the world of horror for Halloween, doesn't mean you need to miss out on consuming Halloween content during October! Happy Isolation Everyone! It's a crazy world right now, and definitely scary to think about what the coming months are going to be like for everyone. But it's important to keep our head's up and stay positive, even if the world seems to be crumbling around us. So if you're bunking down in self-isolation or quarantine, are working from home or just need a break from the news, I've put together a list of Aussie dramas that are totally binge-worthy during this time. And what's even better is that you won't need a subscription to watch them! Hey There Everyone! Over the New Year, with nothing exciting on TV (thanks non-ratings period!), I ended up bingeing The Nanny, and finally watching the final episode. Growing up I had seen reruns of the show here and there, and absolutely loved the series. Last year I finally sat down to binge the whole series, but never getting to the final episode as I just didn't want to say goodbye. After finally rewatching the entire series more recently, I wanted to take a moment to gush about this hilarious sitcom and share why YOU need to grab the chocolate and popcorn and have a binge-session! Happy Pancake Tuesday Everyone!
Not that pancakes really have anything to do with the post, but still. Today's post is inspired by the Aussie soap opera Neighbours and the absolutely heartbreaking episode that will be airing tonight. It's been coming for weeks and I'm still not prepared, and I want to ball my eyes out just thinking about it. You see, one of the characters is dying in tonight's episode, and it got me thinking about some of the most heartbreaking TV deaths that have left me drowning in a puddle of my own tears. Happy Summer Everyone! I suppose you're wondering what the hell SlowTV is? Don't worry, I thought the same when I first heard the term used last year. Well, it's a television genre covering ordinary events in their complete length - like a train journey. The term and idea is popular in Norway, and has become quiet popular here in Australia, thanks to the SBS. Last year, they aired the journey of The Ghan, the iconic train that travels from Adelaide to Darwin. This year, they've planned a whole 'Slow Summer', with a new journey every Sunday in January. And I'm completely mesmerized! Happy Summer Everyone!
Now that December and the holiday season is over, we can enjoy all that the Aussie summer has to offer - heatwaves and all. Between relaxing at the beach or by the pool, it's the perfect time of chill in the front of the tellie and binge some series that you've been meaning to watch. So before you head back to school/univeristy or go back to work after some time-off, here's five series you should be watching this Summer! |
