AUTHOR: Jessica Roe GENRE: NA Contemporary PAGES: 221 RELEASED: 15 December 2014 SERIES: Fortunate #1 SYNOPSIS: Blair Ackerman is a girl with crazy hair and a bad attitude. She's a girl who doesn't care what anyone thinks of her. She's a girl with only a duffel bag and a car named Nancy to her name, and that's okay by her. She's tough because she has to be. Nobody gets inside her head, nobody gets inside her heart. Silver is everything she's never wanted. He's a good guy, a smart guy, a guy who's never met a girl like her before. He's the kind of guy who loves history, who laughs at his own jokes, who kisses like a sinful dream. He's the kind of guy who might just break down her walls and get inside her heart and make her feel. Too bad he's forbidden. Because when Blair's mom dies and she's sent to live with the father she's never met and a family that doesn't want her, Blair and Silver cross paths in ways they never could have imagined, and they discover that even though they know they should, they can't quite bring themselves to stay apart. Opposites really do attract. Hiya! Over the Queen's Birthday Long Weekend, I spent five days working at the annual Sheep Dog Trials hosted by my local Show Society. Why? Because I'm one of the many committee members who work hard to make the event successful. And although I was exhausted at the end of it, I enjoyed every second of it. I'm a volunteer and I love it. Hiya! Another month has come and gone, and with that I've acquired some new favourites and obsessions, as well as rediscovering old ones. I'm not one to be trying new items all the time, but when I do, I've usually found something that I love, and May was no different. May was a month of make up, music and books, with some of these becoming obsessions that have taken over my life! Hiya!
Back in March, I traveled to Forbes, New South Wales, with my family for a family reunion. My grandparents were married in Forbes in 1935, and my father and aunts & uncles were all born there, before they finally moved to Mulwala in 1956. Every year, my family gathers for a family reunion, and it was decided that this year we would head back to where it all started, and it was an amazing weekend filled with family history, laughter and love. But, family wasn't the only thing we did in Forbes. My parents and I went up a few days earlier to do some tourist-y things, as one of the things I wanted to do was check out the history side of Forbes, particularly Ben Hall. |
