Their partnership and relationship could make or break their sporting careers, as well as their hearts… Ya’ll know I LOVE college sports romances and Hannah delivered everything I love about the genre and so much more! There’s just something about hockey players that I cannot get enough of. Plus I LOVE that our heroine also plays sports, which always adds a fun dynamic to the overall story compared to traditional sports romances where the hero plays the sport and the heroine has no sporting ability. I need more heroine-led sports romances in my life! Anastasia and Nate’s relationship has quickly become one of my favourite sports romance relationships - it was equal parts sweet and swoony, with the characters having super fun banter from the get-go, and absolute top-tier spice! Hannah completely drew me into their individual stories and relationship with her writing, and I honestly could not get enough. And I can’t forget the friend group - every single friend of Anastasia and Nate was an absolute riot and I loved their dynamics, especially as the friend groups joined together. This was such a fun bunch of characters with hilarious banter and antics, and I cannot wait for Hannah to explore their stories more in their own books. I will gladly read a 11-book series just to follow every single player on the hockey team! A little trigger warning for disordered eating and emotional manipulation. Hannah does a really good job at tackling both of these issues, showing the management and recovery of the disordered eating, and the realisation and cutting out of the emotionally manipulative person. There’s also a really positive focus on therapy and having regular therapy sessions, which was really nice to see. This is an absolutely MUST-READ for all sports romance fans. And if you’ve never delved into the sports romance genre, this is definitely a fantastic starting point! |
