Hey There Everyone! This week I thought I'd share with you my go-to makeup products - the ones I use almost everyday and the ones that I couldn't live without. Looking at this list, I've come to realise that a lot of my makeup is Maybelline, which just goes to show how much I love the brand. Maybelline Dream Pure BB Cream I'm yet to find a foundation that I really like - I want something lightweight but that gives good coverage. For now, the Dream Pure BB Cream is my go-to foundation. I use a mix of both the Light and Light-Medium - wearing one or the other, or a combination of them both, depending on the day, what I'm wearing, where I'm going and if I'm tanned or not. I love the coverage this gives for the small amount of product used, especially when I have breakouts and red marks - sometimes there's no need for concealer as this does the job nicely. It's lightweight and lasts well, especially when my skin become oily as the day wears on. DB Cosmetics Take Cover Mineral Concealer & Maybelline Fit Me Concealer Between breakouts and dark circles, I need a good concealer. Depending on what I'm trying to conceal, I will turn to one of these concealers. The DB Cosmetics concealer, in the shade Nude, has really great coverage and blends really well. It's actually a concealer that I've, on occasion, used as a foundation when I just need a bit of colour and not a full-face of makeup. The Maybelline concealer, in the shade Sand, is probably one shade too dark for me, although it's not noticeable when I blend it out. It's also got great coverage and I really like the consistency of this formula. Both are great at keeping my breakouts covered all day. Maybelline Shine Free Loose Powder I can't live without a finishing powder to set BB cream and concealer in place. With combination skin, I do have trouble controlling oily skin, especially as the day progresses, so this powder is fantastic at keeping my foundation in place and looking just as good as when I put it on. In the shade Light, it's more a of translucent powder, which I love using as it doesn't add any unwanted colour. Maybelline Master Bronze Palette For the most part, bronzer is usually the only product I use to add colour and definition to my face - if I'm wanting a full-face of makeup, I'll contour and use blush, but for an everyday look, I just stick with bronzer. I really like that this palette has four different shades of bronzer that work well on their own, or combined in varying combinations. I'll either swipe my brush over the entire palette, use a single shade, or make a mix or two or three shades. They blend together and out really well and add a nice natural colour to my complexion. Maybelline The Nudes Palette & Colourpop Yes, Please! Palette My go-to eyeshadow colours are browns and nudes, and I honestly own more of these types of palettes than I need. These two palettes are ones that reach for everyday and I love the looks I can create with them. If I'm looking for a subtle splash of eye colour, I pick up The Nudes palette, if I'm looking for a bolder look, I pick up the Yes Please! palette. They both blend together well, both with colours from their respective palettes and with shades from other palettes. The Colourpop palette in particular is very pigmented and is a dream to blend out. DB Cosmetics Absolute Lash Length + Volume Mascara When it comes to Mascara, I just want something that is nice to apply, gives my lashes some definition and is easy to remove at the end of the day. Of all the mascaras I've tried, this one from DB Cosmetics has been my absolute favourite, no pun intended. I love using this type of mascara wand as it gets good eyelash coverage without clumping. Although this mascara is 'length + volume', it doesn't add a tonne of product to my lashes, which I really like. Colourpop Liquid Lipstick These Colourpop Liquid Lipsticks are the only lipsticks I now use. I love the colours available, and how pigmented they are when applied - a little definitely goes a long way. They are super long lasting and still look great at the end of the day, especially when you don't always need to reapply or touch up. These five are my more go-to shades, although I do own several more that I use somewhat regularly. The ones pictured are :- Donut, Clueless, Take Five, Mars, and More Better. Even though some of these are more bolder colours, I like that they still work well with an everyday makeup look. I don't see myself ever using another type of lipstick - liquid is all I want to use now! I hope that one day I'll make a video sharing my everyday makeup look, but I hope for now that just sharing these products is enough. I highly recommend checking them out if you haven't tried them already, as they are all great products to use and ones that I'm planning to use for a long time - unless I stumble across an even better product.
I'd love to know what some of your staple makeup products are, so do let me know in the comments, especially if you've made a similar blog post, as I'd love to check it out. See You Soon! Victoria :) |
