AUTHOR: Emma Hart GENRE: NA Romance PAGES: 166 RELEASED: 24 March 2020 SYNOPSIS: BAD IDEA #241: Sending a dirty text to your number neighbor. In my defense, my friends did it too, and their neighbors took it as the joke it was. Mine didn’t. He responded with a dirty text of his own. Next thing I know, I have a standing texting date every night at ten-thirty. Until I have to miss it because the stray kitten who adopted me one week ago is sick. The only person I know who can help me at this time of night is my British next-door neighbor and local vet, Isaac Cooper. I’ll keep him overnight, he says. Here’s my number to call me in the morning, he says. The problem? I know that number. Because I’ve been texting it every night for the last four days... I was kindly sent a copy of this book for review from the author in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own. A cute and steamy romance that'll have you wishing your number neighbor was the hot British guy next door...
After a few too many wines, Hannah and her friends get to sending dirty texts to their number neighbors - someone whose number is one digit off their own number. It's all fun and games with Fran and Immy, but Hannah's number neighbor sends his own dirty text right back. Soon, they've got a standing sexting date every night, sharing their fantasies and getting each other off. The plus of all this is that there's absolutely zero chance of ever bumping into each other. So Hannah is completely caught off-guard when it turns out she's been texting her actual neighbor - the hot British vet Isaac she's been crushing on for months now. Sparks fly as neither can get the fantasies out of their heads, with Isaac determined to make them a reality. But is this just a result of a few days sexting, or is there actually a chance these two could get together for real? If you've been following me, you'll know that: a) I LOVE Emma's books, and b) I've been in a massive reading slump all year. Why I didn't just pick up one of Emma's books four months ago beats me, because this instantly dragged me out of the slump! Number Neighbors was fun, flirty and steamy and I really enjoyed following Hannah and Isaac's relationship - where can I find myself a hot British vet to live next door to? Emma really knows how to balance the comedic, cute and steamy af moments, and together they made this book such a joy to read. From their initial texting, to when we first see them interacting IRL, and to them actually dealing with their feelings for one another, I loved every step of their relationship. As always, I'm left wanting more, but in a good way. Now I really need to go back and read Frenemies to see Immy and Mason's story, and see more of Immy and Hannah's hilariously crazy grandmother! It's fun elements like kooky family members that help make Emma's books such fun reads - nothing like a batty grandmother getting up to no good to keep everyone on their toes! If you're a rom-com tragic like me, you're going to devour this book in one sitting! It's also the perfect book to read if you're new to Emma's' work - you'll be left wanting to consume every single book when you finish! |
