AUTHOR: Emma Hart GENRE: NA Romance PAGES: 221 RELEASED: 21 November 2021 SYNOPSIS: Christmas is the most wonderful time of the year—unless you’re Quinn Langley. I’ve hated the festive season for as long as I can remember, but this year really takes the chestnut. My family has run Snow Cove’s grotto for the past sixty years, but when my dad—our resident Santa Claus—gets the flu, it’s down to me to find a new Santa and save Christmas. If only Grandpa would stop spiking the eggnog… Oh, and if I had more than twenty-four hours to do it. Not to mention that all the people who can help me are already busy with their own plans for the Christmas fair. Until Nicholas freaking White knocks on the grotto door. I haven’t seen or spoken to him since he took my v-card and abandoned me in a motel room nine years ago, but he’s my only option. I have no choice but to let him be my Santa Claus, or I risk ruining Christmas for hundreds of kids. The last place I want to be is stuffed in the grotto with Nicholas, being Santa’s not so happy little helper, still desperately trying to hold onto my grudge. Now, if only we could stop finding ourselves under mistletoe, that would be great… This book was kindly sent to me from the author in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own. She’s a bit of a Grinch and he’s the one who got away, but now she needs a Santa Claus and he’s the only option left...
For someone who lives in a town called Snow Cove, and who’s family owns the Christmas tree farm and Santa’s Grotto, Quinn Langley has a really strong dislike for Christmas. But with her sister heavily pregnant, her dad coming down with the flu, her mum looking after her father and her niece, her brother-in-law running the tree farm, and her grandpa living off eggnog, it’s up to Quinn to run Santa’s Grotto. Her first problem however, is finding a Santa Claus since her father is incapacitated. With everyone in Snow Cove already preoccupied with their own businesses, it’s an absolute miracle that Nicholas White has returned to town for the holidays. The only downside is that they haven’t spoken in nine years after sleeping together at Graduation and Nicholas skipping town the next day. Now that they’re working so closely together, they both have to confront their feelings for one another, and Nicholas has made two things clear – he wants to find out what Quinn secretly loves about Christmas, and he wants to make it up to her for his poor performance on Graduation night. But with Nicholas inevitably heading back to the city once the holidays are over, Quinn doesn’t want to have her heart broken all over again Christmas romances are the best and I desperately want to spend Christmas in Snow Cove! The world of Snow Cove sounded so magical and I only wish we could spend more time exploring all the festive magic the town has to offer. Clearly I just need to experience a White Christmas in a small festive town! Emma has yet to deliver on a romance I didn’t enjoy, and I really loved following Quinn and Nicholas’ relationship develop throughout the book. Second chance romances with a side of forced proximity are seriously the best, and then this had Christmas as the cherry on top! What more could you honestly want! Once again, Emma had a whole bunch of fun side characters that added even more laugh-out-loud moments to an already fun, comedy-filled book. It’s the type of book where I’d be totally fine with just reading about all these fun friendships and family dynamics. I’m so keen for Emma to return to Snow Cove and all these fun characters. Romance fans, make sure this book is on your reading list this month because you need to experience the festive magic of Snow Cove and the romance cuteness of Quinn & Nicholas! |
