He wants her back? He'll have to work for it. This time around, she'll be the one in the driver's seat, and she plans on driving him wild. One mistake and a second chance has this hockey player upping his game and putting his heart on the line…
When hockey star John Logan goes looking for a party as a distraction, he accidentally ends up at the dorm of freshman Grace Ivers. Grace is a welcomed distraction, but just as she’s about to hand over her V-card, Logan puts his foot in it and ruins what was slowly becoming more than just a distraction. After a summer of radio silence, Logan is determined to prove to Grace that he is serious about her and is worthy of a second chance. But after a summer spent in Paris figuring herself out, Grace isn’t going to just run back to Logan at the drop of a puck. She’s going to make him work for his second chance to show her that he’s in this for the long run. Second book slump? We don’t know her because Elle stepped things up with this return to Briar U! Logan was such a fun secondary character in the first book, so it was great to get inside his head and follow his journey to a happily ever after. And while we only just met Grace, she instantly felt like a character we’ve met before. Logan and Grace had such great chemistry, and their relationship was a nice balance of heart and heat. In stepping things up, Elle also stepped up the spice and delivered some great smut scenes - Garrett and Hannah in book one were great, but Logan and Grace were just *chefs kiss*. Like with book one, there is a little trigger warning, this time for alcoholism. While it’s not something that is heavily discussed or focused on in the book, it does play a part in Logan’s backstory. It’s time to enroll in Briar U and fall in love with one of the swoony hockey players! |
