AUTHOR: Willa Nash GENRE: Romance PAGES: 165 pages RELEASED: 4 November 2021 SERIES: Holiday Brothers #1 SYNOPSIS: One week with one little girl—an angel, according to my staffing agency. Acting as the short-term nanny for a single dad should have been an easy way to make some extra cash. Until I show up for my first day and face off with a demon disguised as a seven-year-old girl wearing a red tutu and matching glitter slippers. Oh, and her father? My temporary boss? Maddox Holiday. The same Maddox Holiday I crushed on in high school. The same Maddox Holiday who didn’t even know I existed. And the same Maddox Holiday who hasn’t set foot in Montana for years because he’s been too busy running his billionaire empire. Enduring seven days is going to feel like scaling the Himalayas in six-inch heels. Toss in the Holiday family’s annual soiree, and Christmas Eve nightmares really do come true. But I can do anything for a week, especially for this paycheck, even if it means wrangling the naughty, impressing the nice, and playing the nanny. Falling for the boss never felt so right…
Instead of a Christmas break, nanny Natalie Buchanan is roped into a temporary nanny job between her more permanent placings. The last thing she is expecting is for her new boss to be billionaire Maddox Holiday, the guy she had a major crush on back in high school. Although it’s the holidays, Maddox is knee-deep in work, especially as he makes plans to move back home permanently. This leaves his sever-year-old Violet in Natalie’s hands, and she’s anything but the angel she was originally described as. But Violet isn’t Natalie’s first difficult child, and it’s not long before the pair are friends. As Natalie slots herself nicely into the Holiday family, her high school crush comes back in spades, and it’s not long before she’s wanting to break her one rule - don’t sleep with the boss. Christmas AND the nanny/boss trope? YES PLEASE! I’m an absolute sucker for the single dad trope, and Willa delivered such a fun, flirty and festive romance to get your into the Christmas spirit! And it’s short enough to cram in before or on Christmas! Maddox and Natalie had instant chemistry, and even though they both had their own rules against getting involved with the boss/employee, they both ensured that Violet came first. And Violet was such a fun spitfire of a character who made Maddox and Natalie’s dynamic even more enjoyable. This was everything I love about the single dad and nanny tropes and more! The Holiday family had some fun vibes, and I’m excited to see that develop over the course of the trilogy as we get to see Maddox’s twin brothers get their HEA. The small teasers we got for Heath and Tobias’ stories already have been KEEN to dive into their books! If you’re looking for your next festive romance read, this is one to get to this holiday season! |
