A swoony & sweet long-time crush and fake fiancé romance that’ll have you befriending the hockey team in search of your soulmate.
Reagan has been crushing on hockey captain Adam Scott since the moment he helped her carry a box to her apartment the day she moved in, and that was two years ago. Not only are they neighbours, but Regan and her roommate Dakota have become part of the squad, which has only amplified Regan’s crush. She’s spent the past two years seeing Adam dating countless girls wishing it was her, and now that he’s single, she’s finally working up the courage to tell him the truth. When Adam needs a plus one for a premed mixer for the scholarship he’s trying to score, he asks Reagan to accompany him, thinking that showing he’s in a committed relationship will help increase his chances at getting the scholarship. As a budding actress, Reagan is up for stepping into the role, which soon evolves into being Adam’s fiancé. Embarrassed by taking the charade so far, she spills the beans, only to be surprised when Adam asks her out to see if they can turn the charade into reality. But having seen Adam cycle through girlfriends for so long, a part of Reagan is waiting for the other shoe to drop and join the ranks of his exes. I was excited for Reagan and Adam’s story the moment we met them in Secret Puck – I just KNEW their story would be a good one when they finally got their act together and got together! And Rebecca delivered such a fun, sweet & swoony story that had everything I was excited for and more! I’m a sucker for a good sports romance, especially when there’s a side of a fake relationship, and I loved being back with all our favourite hockey players, getting to learn more about the guys who we’ll follow in upcoming books, as well as seeing more of Ginny & Heath’s relationship from book one. Rebecca definitely slays the companion novel game and I’ve been enjoying getting more and more of the Valley U world with each book. With book three coming out this month, now it’s the perfect time to dive into the world of Valley U, catching up on ALL the sports romance drama that has unfolded already. |
