Hey There Everyone! Another month, another Bellabox! It's been a while since I've actually done one of these review posts, but since I've played around with everything in this box already, I thought why not! March's box - Runway Ready - was my first box for 2019 after pausing my subscription for the first two months of the year to catch up on products from previous boxes (spoiler alert, I totally didn't). And it was a pretty decent box filled with a nice mix of goodies, mainly from brands I've never heard of or tried before. What Is Bellabox? In case you didn't know, Bellabox is a monthly subscription box based here in Australia and New Zealand, sending you five to six full-size, travel-size or samples of makeup and beauty products. This gives you the opportunity to try brands and products that you may not have seen or have access to. It's a great box for anyone who is looking to try new things, but not wanting to splash out on new products that you aren't sure will work for you Bang Beauty Crow Cream The power to craft any brow imaginable is finally a reality. The Brow Cream by Bang Beauty is your new secret weapon for shaping, sculpting and filling your brows for a high-impact, budge-proof look. This product came with the option of choosing one of three shades - Milk Chocolate, Auburn or Dark Brown - and I totally forgot to do that at the start of the month, so I received Milk Chocolate. I honestly think I could have gone with any of the shades, so I'm not mad, although this is a bit lighter and warmer than my actual hair colour - my brows don't look ridiculous though, which is a relief. I've not tried a brow cream product like this before, so I was excited to try it out and see if it's a type of product that I'd actually enjoy using. It's such a nice product and my brows looked fabulous from start to finish. Will I Be Buying More? Definitely adding this to my list. It's obviously going to take a while to get through the entire product, but will definitely be something I'd consider buying again - certainly going to be a brow product I reach for. 3.5g/0.12oz RRP USD$22.00 - available at bangbeautyofficial.com Acqua di Parma Chinotto di LiguriaA refreshing and lively scent of a unique land of contrasts. A perfect memory of a sunny morning walk overlooking the sea deeping into the bitter Chincotto and Mandarin trees. The delightful embrace of sand and sea echoes in the sunny touches of Jasmine and Geranium notes, then is refreshing by the energetic notes of Rosemary and Cardamon accents. Finally, Patchouly and Musk accords evoke the silence and peace of an untouched nature for a pure moment of wellbeing. Why are perfume descriptions so f**king ridiculous? Who wrote this - was it roughly translated and this was the result? Anyway, I did like that the sample size is a little spritzer instead of those one-use dabbing vials that barely give you a chance to smell and experience the scent. In saying that, I did not like this scent at all. I'm not a fan of musk, so that's probably why, but I feel like it's a scent that only some people will enjoy - probably not the best choice for a subscription box that goes out to a tonne of different people (I personally would have chosen something a little more generic in the hopes that more people would like it). I've given the sample to my mum as it's a little more up her ally. Will I Be Buying More? Nope. And honestly, I'm not someone who will spend a fortune on perfume, so even if I did really like it, I wouldn't necessarily be rushing out to drop $120 on it. 75ml RRP $119 - available at David Jones and Myer. Palmolive Hand Sanitiser Lemon & White Citrus Your latest handbag essential has arrived! This sanitiser has a light burst of lemon and white citrus that provides a boost of freshness, helping you carry on with your day with beautifully scented, germ-free hands. YAS FOR HAND SANITISER! Everyone needs one in their handbag, in their car and on their desk. I've always seen the Palmolive hand santisers in store, but never picked one up to try, so I was very excited to see this in the box. While Lemon & White Citrus wouldn't have been my go-to choice had I picked one up in store, it's actually such a great scent - clean and fresh, ready to take on the rest of the world. Obviously, can't really comment on how effective it is at killing germs, you know, since I can't see them, but I haven't died yet, so there's that. Will I Be Buying More?: Hell yeah I will! I'll get one in every scent and always have one within arms reach. 48ml RRP $3.69 - available at Chemist Warehouse, Priceline and Indepedent Grocers Voeu Micellar Wipes Flash refresh! Swipe left on panda eyes and to waking up with last night's face on your pillow with these poor purifying and Witch Hazel Water-loaded cleansing wipes. Make-up wipes are something you should always have on hand. While I'm more of a fan using micellar water/toner on makeup pads, or a micro-fibre cloth, I do sometimes turn to makeup wipes, especially at the end of a long night. I really like that these combine a makeup wipe and micellar water - my perfect combination! These work really well and leave my skin feeling fresh and clean. Will I Be Buying More?: Definitely! These are so going on my list of makeup wipes to buy, alongside a few other favourites, especially at the price they are - will definitely try and pick up a packet whenever I'm in Woolies (it's not our local supermarket, so getting a pack or two every now and then will have to do). 25 wipes RRP $1.50 - available at Woolworths Mavala Nail Polish Say hello to Mavala's toxic free, cruely free and worry free nail polish in one of their best selling classic colours. The unique formula allows your nails to breathe naturally, now yo can have polished tips all the time without the fear of damaging your nails! I've never heard of this brand before, but I love painting my nails, so hardly going to say no to trying something new. Although the information card for this box shows the polish to be a baby pink, the shade I received it an orange coral, which I think is called 'Tahiti'. And honestly, I'd much prefer this shade over a baby pink, so I'm not bad about not getting the picture shade. What I couldn't really pick up on in the bottle is that the polish actually has a nice subtle shimmer to it. I tried this without a base and top coat, and it's not that bad - chipped a little, but nothing a good base and top coat can't fix. Will I Be Buying More? Probably not, simply because I already have good collection of nail polish. Maybe I'll check out what other colours they have, and if there's an epically amazing on that I've not seen, I'll get it. Will definitely keep this brand on my radar though. 5ml RRP $8.50 - available at mavala.com.au Overall, this box didn't blow me away, even though I do like a majority of the products - in the end, it was only the perfume that was a major let down. While there have definitely been better boxes, in my opinion, I'm still happy to have some new products and brands in my life. I'll be rocking awesome brows with germ-free hands, and coral nail polish, all ready to remove with the swipe of a makeup wipe at the end of the day. Can't complain about that!
If you got the March Bellabox, let me know your thoughts on it, especially if you got a couple of different products. I've opted out of the April box, so I'll probably be back with a review post in a couple of months. See You Soon! Victoria :) |
