Happy Hump Day Friends! Spring is officially in the air and I am SO damn happy about it! It’s surprising how much seasonal change actually does effect you - I know seasonal depression is a thing, but you don’t sort of realise how hard it hits until we finally get a change in the seasons. Spring is my absolute favourite time of the year, and I’m loving the weather slowly warming up, the golden canola flowering across the region, and the general smell of spring in the air. But before I dive head-first into the new season, here’s a round-up of all the songs I’ve been loving over the past three months, some of which you’ll 100% see again in my Spring playlist! Happy Hump Day Friends! And BOOM, that’s the end of Autumn here in Australia! Although let’s be real, it’s been feeling like Winter for a while now - the leaves changed colour and feel real fast these past three months. I feel like Autumn has really flown past and I didn’t really get much music listening in, even though I’ve managed to curate a playlist almost two hours long. Try as I might, there’s a lot of crossover with my Summer playlist, and a couple of faves rotated back into my listening - I’m definitely going to have to push myself to mix things up a little more in Winter and get some fresh songs and artists in my life! But until then, here is what I’ve been listening to these past three months - spoiler alert: there’s a lot of The Wldlfe and PeachPRC! Happy Sunday Everyone! Spring is coming to an end here in Australia, although you wouldn’t really know Spring has even been – Winter has had a death grip on this season, and then Summer has latched on for a couple of days, so it feels like we’ve completely missed having Spring for three months. But even with wacky weather (thanks El Nina), there’s still been plenty of music-listening happening over this past season! As I say every single time, I think this is one of my favourite seasonal playlists, and I know a LOT of these songs are going to continue over into the Summer – I still cannot get enough to The Chainsmokers’ newest album, and Louis Tomlinson has dropped an absolutely banger of an album! So before we dive into a new month and new season, here’s a recap of the music that has defined my Spring 2022!
Happy Hump Day Friends!
It might only be the middle of November, but it’s never too early to start blasting the Christmas Carols! Well, some people probably think it’s too early, but I don’t care – I want the Christmas magic for as long as possible! Once again, I’ve curated a Christmas playlist to have on repeat from now until Christmas, and I’m super happy with the mix of songs – there’s a good variety of old classics and newer songs, which is always make for such a fun and festive vibe! This year, the playlist comes in at 50 songs spanning 2 hours and 43 minutes. While it’s not the longest playlist (that honour goes to last year’s playlist), I’m pretty proud of myself for not having it be ridiculously long with songs repeated several times. So let’s get into the festive spirit with ALL the Christmas songs! Happy Monday Fam! August, and Winter, is coming to an end, and I'm so excited because Spring is my FAVOURITE season AND September is my birthday month, so exciting times are ahead for me! But before we farewell Winter completely, I've got to share my Winter playlist and all the songs I've been loving and listening to on repeat for the past three months. Spoiler alert - a LOT of these songs have appeared on my previous two seasonal playlists, but that's just because I LOVE them so much! I promise that Spring will have a little more variety and a few less repeats, maybe. I know I've said this every seasonal playlist this year, but my winter playlist is one of my favourite that I've created and has been such a feel-good playlist that really boosts the serotonin levels! Happy Hump Day Fam! And just like that, Summer has to an end here in Australia! I’m a little bummed because I love these long and warm Summer days, even though our bestie La Niña is making those long warm days super soggy. So to be honest, it’s already feeling like Autumn anyway.... but I digress! As always, at the end of the season, I like to share the songs that I’ve been listening to on repeat for the past three months, and let me tell you that Summer has delivered some pretty damn good tunes! Between Triple J’s Hottest 100, TikTok and new music from some of my faves, there’s been some really great songs to bop along to. And yes, I was one of those people who voted for the The Wiggles to win the Hottest 100 and I’m not ashamed of it – it’s iconic. Happy Summer Friends! That's right, it's officially Summer here in Australia, although the weather would have you believe otherwise - it's still feeling like winter, raining every week, and I've worn my winter clothes more than I have my summer clothes... at the rate we're going, we might actually get a white Christmas Down Under... But I digress! The end of a season means it's time to wrap up what I've been listening to these last three months, and let me tell you, I really bloody love my Spring Playlist! I know I say this every single time, but this is probably one of my favourite seasonal playlist so far! I think in general, the music I've been listening to this year has been pretty good, so I'm interested to see what my Spotify Wrapped delivers this month... Anyway, let's get into my final seasonal playlist for 2021!
Happy Sunday Friends!
Now that Thanksgiving is out of the way for all my American friends, we can OFFICIALLY start the Christmas celebrations! Of course, as an Australian, I don’t celebrate Thanksgiving, so I’ve been in Christmas mode since the beginning of November. Some people would say that’s too early to be watching Christmas films, putting up decorations and listening to Christmas Carols, but to them I say – it’s never too early for Christmas magic! Speaking of listening to Christmas Carols, I’ve been curating my 2021 Christmas Playlist, and I think this is my favourite one yet!
Happy Hump Day Lovelies!
Have you recovered from Halloween over the weekend? I hope however you spent the day it was fun and filled with a little spooky magic. Now that we’re in November, the end of the year is hurtling towards us – 2022 is literally right around the corner, and that’s lowkey scary, scarier that Halloween has ever been! So before we dive into the Christmas and Holiday content (which I’m VERY excited about, by the way), let’s talk about podcasts! If you know me, you’ll know I’m a big podcast fan and have way too many episodes to catch up on. Whether you’re a podcast newbie or subscribed to way too many yourself, you can honestly never have too many subscriptions in your rotation. So here’s 10 you definitely need to be listening to if you aren’t already! Happy Tuesday Lovelies! 2021 really do by flying by, huh? 2022 is literally FOUR MONTHS AWAY, like how is that possible! Before we dive into Spring, I want to share the soundtrack that divined my winter and helped get me through the start of this regional NSW lockdown – my Winter Playlist! It’s honestly such a weird mix of musicals, rap, pop, old and new, but it has been the biggest serotonin kick during a drab winter. So enough babbling, here’s the songs I’ve been LOVING over the past three months! |
