Happy Festive Season Everyone! Mid-November is considered the festive season right? If not, it is now because we have certainly earned an early start to the holiday season! If you're like me, you've probably already started the Christmas shopping panic - and with lots of people turning to online shopping this year, it means we need to be starting earlier rather than later so everything can arrive in time. I've thrown together a list of 24 gift ideas that you should be checking out this year if you're a little stuck for ideas or just need a little inspiration to kickstart your shopping spree! Happy Spooky Season Everyone! For the past two years I've made posts talking about Christmas episodes and specials that you need to add into your holiday viewing rotation and I thought, why not do it for Halloween too! I'm not a big horror film person, and literally the only horror films I'll watch like clockwork every Halloween is the Saw series, so I can hardly recommend many horror films to binge this month. But, there are plenty of TV series that have made Halloween episodes that are perfect viewing for those who like Halloween but aren't into the scary stuff! So, just because you don't want to delve into the world of horror for Halloween, doesn't mean you need to miss out on consuming Halloween content during October! Merry Christmas Eve Eve! Can you believe Christmas is essentially here!?! I'm writing this at the beginning of December and even as I'm writing this I can't believe how close Christmas is, let alone just a few days out when you're reading this! Since we are just two days out from Christmas, I thought it the best time to bring you part two of my retrospective 'what I got for Christmas', which I started last year. I had SO much fun last year going back through old photos and video footage to create that post, and I'm still SO happy with how it all turned out. So let's continue on, and take it all the way back to 2006!
Happy Holidays Everyone!
Christmas just doesn't feel like Christmas until there's a plate full of Gingerbread on the table, all decorated and looking oh so yummy. I don't know about you, but Christmas and New Years is the only time of year that I have gingerbread biscuits, so there's something special about making them in the lead up to Christmas. So why not spend this weekend filling the house with the festive smell of gingerbread and get baking! Plus, it's the perfect Christmas bake for kids to get involved with. Season's Greeting My Friends!
Stuck for something to watch over the next week, even though there are a TONNE of Christmas films out in the world? Don't worry, I can totally understand how overwhelming it can be - do you stick to your favourite classics or branch out and watch new stuff? And if you do watch new stuff, where do you start? What if you want to watch new stuff AND your favourites, but you're running out of time to do both? Take a breath because I've got you covered once again with a list of Christmas films you should add into the your rotation. Last year I covered SO many films, so this year I thought I'd tone it back a little, especially since there's only a week until the big day - you can definitely get to a majority of these twelve films over the next week! Happy Holidays Everyone!
Last year I made a post talking about some Christmas episodes and specials that you needed to add to your Christmas watch-list. Since so many TV shows do at least one Christmas episode, I just knew I'd have enough fodder for another post this year (hell, I'll be able to do a third post next December!). So while you're planning out what to watch this year, definitely consider adding some of these episodes into the rotation, especially if you've only got half an hour or an hour to spare. Happy December Everyone! Christmas is certainly creeping up on us very quickly! And as always, I had to put together my annual Christmas Playlist to play on blast for the whole month. I've had this playlist created for the past month, and just between you and me, I've already had it on repeat once or twice. So if you're looking to check out some new Christmas songs or new versions of our favourite classics, read on! Happy December Everyone! It's finally December, and not to alarm you, but Christmas is only TWENTY THREE days away. Yeah, that's a little scary. Last year I was super organised and had a majority of my gifts purchased (and almost wrapped) by now, but this year, I've been a bit more slack. So I really need to get my butt moving. If you're in the same boat as me, fear not, I'm here with a little gift guide if you're struggling to come up with ideas, or just need something extra to complete a gift. Merry Christmas Eve! The big day is almost here - hopefully your Christmas shopping is done, the presents wrapped (or nearly wrapped), the food is ready to go, and you're all excited to see what Santa has left under the tree for you. Like a good blogger, I'm writing this post well in advanced, but I bet Christmas Eve me is very excited for tomorrow - they'll be Christmas films on, Christmas Carols playing, last minute Christmas prep getting done, and all culminating in watching the Vision Australia Carols by Candlelight on the tellie tonight. I wanted today's post, seeing as it is so close to Christmas, to be all about taking a trip down Christmas memory lane (aided along by photos and home movies), and sharing some of my favourite Christmas presents as a kid. Kind of like a retrospective 'What I Got For Christmas' post... Happy Holidays Everyone!!
Another festive post this week in the lead-up to Christmas! Last week I talked about some of the Christmas episodes and specials you should be adding to your festive watch-list this year, so this week I thought I'd talk about some Christmas films you should be checking out! There are so many Christmas films out in the world, so you're never going to be short on what to watch, but it also means there are probably some that you've not thought to add to your watch-list. So, with a week left until Christmas, here's some films you should find the time to watch before the big day arrives! |
